Project Summary
For this project, students will be exploring the purpose and structure of Writing
Task 1 in the IELTS exam. They will learn to distinguish between different types
of writing prompts and summarize information presented in visual data
representations. The driving question for this project is: Can I write?
Project Launch
Students will be introduced to the project objectives and will be provided with a
brief overview of the IELTS exam and Writing Task 1. They will also be given a
copy of the rubric that will be used to assess their final product.

speaking part 1
- Students will understand the structure of Speaking Part 1, including its duration (4-5 minutes) and the number of questions asked (around 12). - Students will be able to identify the types of questions typically asked in Speaking Part 1, such as personal questions and opinion questions, through analyzing sample questions. - Students will recognize the significance of developing good speaking skills for the IELTS exam, including clear pronunciation, grammar, and fluency. - Students will feel comfortable answering basic personal questions related to hobbies, interests, and family members. - Students will understand and practice strategies for building rapport with examiners, including maintaining eye contact, using appropriate body language, and smiling.
